In 2013, Canary + Gould Evans was selected to complete a renovation of the Pat Tillman Tunnel in Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University. Architectural upgrades and environmental graphics were put in place to enhance the player and coaches’ game day experience. The project was so much more than highlighting the Sun Devil spirit, but rather honoring the legacy of Pat Tillman and his courage.

The project was so much more than highlighting the Sun Devil spirit, but rather honoring the legacy of Pat Tillman and his courage.
After 9/11, Tillman chose to leave his success in the NFL, enlisting in the U.S. Army before his untimely death in 2004. The final inspirational graphics include the football programs’ philosophies – character, smart, discipline, tough, passionate – and culminate with a 10-foot gate and full size image of Pat Tillman poised to step onto the field. Canary was honored to be a part of such a meaningful and spirited project for Arizona State University.
