The experience of visiting the courthouse can be extremely stressful, causing concerns of security and wayfinding. At the fore-front of design discussions were creating more visible and identifiable entrances, incorporating daylight and views and making a conscious effort to create more calming, safe place for everyone. Design strategies organized specific programmatic areas within the building to utilize daylight to the North and South and offer opportunities for views of the city. In addition to daylighting, wayfinding was closely examined as an integral part of the Courts’ experience.
