In renovating the College, the design team transformed dark, low, insular spaces into open, day lit volumes. Natural light was introduced into the building’s core, resulting in open, flexible spaces offering inhabitants accessible and visually connected indoor-outdoor social space in which to both study and relax. From the project onset, Law School traditions and esteemed alumni were paramount to the College and were highlighted through visuals. The “Heritage Wall” is a series of translucent panels depicting inspirational alumni and historically significant dates. A vibrant donor wall recognizes over 300 contributors and is comprised of a variety of tinted plaques that suspend from an elegant cable system, energizing the main lobby.
